Better Back program
A lot of people come to the clinic with back and neck problems. From asking everyone on their first visit what they want from their treatment we know that usually top of their list is for the pain to stop. The next most important thing you tell us is you want is to understand your problem and to have a plan for getting rid of the pain and preventing its return. Our Better Back Program is a process that was developed to deliver all this for you. This is our way of taking you from where you are now back to health and fitness
The Better Back program starts right from your arrival before you even see the osteopath. Our specially designed questionnaire helps to pin point your problem and screen you for health issues that might be affecting you or are indicating that medical treatment is more appropriate
Once in the consultation room, the osteopath takes a detailed case history and examination. This can be backed up with sophisticated computer analysis of your posture in order to find and demonstrate postural problems. At Biggleswade Osteopathic Clinic we are also able to add an extra holistic appreciation of your problem by using diagnostic methods from Chinese Medicine
All this gets put together with many years experience, to make a Recommended Action Plan which we present to you. We will tell you what we have found the problem to be, what you need to do to put it right and the types of treatment we recommended. We will also indicate how many treatments you will need.
By following this plan you will have a way of helping yourself and preventing recurrences. We know our patients get the best results when they stick to their Recommended Action Plans.
We will monitor your progress throughout the course of treatment and can quickly respond to unforeseen changes or problems if they arise.
As your pain eases and the treatment plan progresses, you will be given exercises and advice specific to your problem to continue the improvement and help prevent the problem returning.
By the time you are better we aim to have you understanding your problem and how to prevent it or minimise its effects on you. This is all part of the ‘Better Back Program’
