We asked new patients "what for you were the best aspects of your visit/treatment?"
You explained my condition to me better than my doctor.
Relaxing atmosphere. Treatment was explained and how it would benefit me.
My first visit to an osteopath - bit scary but not as bad as I thought. Back problem resolved itself within 48 hours.
About Biggleswade Osteopathic Clinic
Biggleswade Osteopathic Clinic was established in 1989 and since then has provided friendly, professional help to thousands of patients.
The clinic is run by Kevin Poynter, a registered Osteopath with over 20 years experience, and a member of the General Osteopathic Council. This is the statutory body which governs all osteopaths and ensures, as their motto says, that you are "safe in our hands".
Kevin was first impressed with osteopathy when as a teenager he suffered headaches and was finally cured by his local osteopath. He has been motivated since then by the desire to help others in the same way.
The General Osteopathic Council
The General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) is responsible for regulating, developing and promoting osteopathy in the UK. Since the legislation of May 2000 when the GOsC's statutory register came into force, all osteopaths must register with the Council in order to call themselves osteopaths or to legally practise osteopathy in the UK.
You can be sure that all Osteopaths are properly trained and undertake courses and training for continuing professional development. They also all have liability insurance.
Further details are available from the Register at www.osteopathy.org.uk or 020 7357 6655.
